I mean it's your selection. Do you want more rules and to have to track the subreddit more? Or do you want to leave it as is and continue to Animal Crossing Items threat that the hostility in the comments on the more controversial articles like the memorial + edited pics articles, which would likewise have to be tracked more?
Or do you need users to get the expectation that everything they want can be found in certain threads on a particular program? I think that it works out well for another subreddits that take action. And honestly, to me, setting up automod to run the threads and then simply tracking the decrease quantity of posts sounds like much less work.
Regardless of the fluffy nature of this sport, this community can be unbelievably rabid when something they do not like gets published. I report those things as I view them, but then I see the poisonous posters continue to post here and wonder if it even does any good. Like I reported somebody who had been all over a thread telling people to eff off and things a couple weeks back and they were posting the next day just like nothing had happened. You can't ever make those sorts of people/situations go away, but you may attempt to lessen the possibility of them occurring by structuring things and rules around them clearly.
The other solution is a broader flair approach, but folks browsing reddit via specific ways don't even see flair unless they specifically enable it so that you'd have to accept that was faulty in the get-go.
Ultimately I don't think any particular subjects or posts within this sub need to be banned. I think they need to be structured in a way that users who don't want to see them can decide to filter them out or dismiss them.
I believe like combining questions and codes could be a small bit of a wreck, personally. If you do see codes from the questions thread they may be reported and we can clean them up when we see it. Additionally, as for information events, we do sticky Update Megathreads when they come around. Can there possibly be like pre-update stickies/update statements? I believe so. But yes, honestly, I'd personally like to free a tacky slot eventually.
As for how I would like the subreddit moderatedI wish to keep it comparatively light-hearted. I personally wouldn't mind more or Animal Crossing New Horizons Bells for sale less rules. I simply don't need it to be overly strict, I don't think stringent rules apply well to a general Animal Crossing subreddit.
